With email still the main communications medium for anyone including businesses, knowing how for top level from it will make life easier plus more productive. Today’s tutorial is about email forwarding. More specifically, forwarding multiple emails at the same time in Gmail.
Many people with access to the internet use a Gmail account or at a minimum a Google account with the choice of using Gmail. It is one of the most feature-rich of the multi email forward and has been steadily refined to be really simple to operate.
There is not any bulk forwarding option in Gmail. To forward mails you have to create a filter to forward all future mails to a new address. This doesn’t help if you have emails with your inbox already that require forwarding. As there is the option to add existing conversations, it doesn’t always work. Though it may be a recently available addition, it seems just a little hit and miss. You will have to either forward those individually or utilize an extension to get it done for you personally.
Using filters isn’t ideal as it is only going to forward future arrivals in your new address. It will provide you with the option to forward existing conversations which may have already arrived but is a little cumbersome and doesn’t always work with me.
Manually Forward Multiple Emails In Gmail
If you’re forwarding a lot of emails being a one off and won’t need to do it again, you might like to use the filter but omit the create filter part. Or you might manually find the emails you wish to forward. This procedure is ok if there are only a few of them. Less than much if there are other.
You used to be able to look at the box left of your emails you wish to forward thus hitting forward, but now you can no longer achieve that. You must go deep into each email individually and select Forward from the little gray box in the top right of the email window.
Use A Chrome Extension To Forward Multiple Emails In Gmail
In the event you don’t mind using extensions, there are many available that can bulk forward emails in Gmail. As Gmail and Chrome are inside the same ecosystem, it is advisable to use Chrome when performing mult1email instead of another browser.
I attempted a few extensions when putting this tutorial together and only found one which works properly. In the five or so listed in the Chrome online store, only Multi Email Forward for Gmail worked. So while there are several around, you could simply want to use this one.
Multi Email Forward For Gmail
Multi Email Forward for Gmail does just what it says. It means that you can forward multiple emails from inside Gmail. It does require that you create your account with CloudHQ who make the extension and that i do not know why. However, once created, the extension works perfectly each time. If you use Gmail for business or possibly a lot for private use, this can be a really useful addition to your toolbox.
